SORRY YOURE SAD

Writer and producer, Jamison Karon presents new web series "Sorry You're Sad". This series premiered September 23rd with five episodes no longer than 8 minutes each. To learn more about "Sorry You're Sad", visit sorryyouresad.com.

"Unlike any other queer web series, Sorry You're Sad focuses on life as an aesthetic rather than a stereotypical gay experience. The project explores the human quality of these encounters rather than queer clichés. In a mash up of dark comedy, poetry, and sexual commentary, the web series attempts to liberate our lives from the mundane.

Jamison Karon and Yoni Shrira have created a world in which busted is beautiful, loneliness becomes art, and anguish inspires laughter." (www.sorryyouresad.com/A-B-O-U-T)

Milan Fashion Week - Here are some pictures taken by me during the Mila Schon Spring / Summer 2015. Fashion show.

The designer, Alessandro Benedetti, defines his collection as a look to the future, "Galactic and forward."

Indeed, we can see on the catwalk, fresh clothes that range from delicate tones and total white look which alternate with vibrant prints and fanciful look.

A style piecewise ethereal, with clothes very romantic, as well as the gorgeous soundtrack that accompanied the models on the catwalk.

Tailoring but at the same time innovative

An essential and minimalistic woman

Oh, the Dichotomy! DEIVIE SS 15

This season Christina Mannino has collaborated with Ainac street artists who have personalized and given inspiration to designers for the new SS15 collection DEIVIE.

"Oh, the Dichotomy!" is aptly titled for Christina Mannino's S/S 15 collection, for her NYC women's label, DEIVIE, chronicles the life of an upper east side socialite who secretly moonlights as a street artist. "What makes the DEIVIE woman so special is that she is truly an inhabitant of contrary worlds. She is polished and sophisticated whilst playing by her own rules," says Mannino, "Thus my idea was to highlight that the intrigue in a woman lies not within what she shows the world, but what she conceals."

Centered upon a custom-quilted silk coat made in vivid, candy colors, the collection hints back to the early 1960s. Inspired by old Hollywood movies starring Rita Hayworth and Marilyn Monroe (e.g. "How to Marry a Millionaire"), Mannino then caught sight of a beautiful piece of street art by Brooklyn based artists AINAC, "It's an image on a white brick wall (It's used in my look book -- we shot the model in front of it!) in Chelsea and it says 'ART IS NOT A CRIME’ in red lettering with 'Doll' scrolled in script below it. It turns out that is AINAC's main tag!" Linking the term "doll," commonly used in the 50s and 60s to refer to a sassy female, to her initial inspiration, Mannino knew she had to find out who the artists behind AINAC were and collaborate on DEIVIE's new collection.

Details like rainbow colored tassels and chains add a playful vibe to the sleek collection, and a sparkly black off-shoulder crop top paired with slouchy red boucle pants truly conveys the essence of DEIVIE's "glamorous nouveau punk." “I love pieces that can be transformed with accessories,” adds Manino: “shoes, a big bling necklace, and every piece in this collection can be worn as a causal ensemble or fancy.”

New York, New York | Custo Barcelona presented its Spring/Summer 2015 collection, Skin, at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Lincoln Center on Sunday, September 7th 2014 at 3PM. The trademarked brand stayed true to its nature, juxtaposing textiles, prints and color. The new collection titled SKIN, showcased exactly that - sensual and transparent looks accentuating the power of the female form.

Flowy silk, laser-cut body suits, uniquely textured appliqués, and intricate geometric cut outs showcased in the collection allow both the sweet and seductive sides of women to show.

Accessories included woven-patterned sandals, boxed-heeled booties, handbags, and sunglasses. The men's collection evoked a crafty masculine vibe while revealing the theme of SKIN. Loose-knit fitting trousers, ultra-light artisanal linen jackets, t-shirts and sweats were paired effortlessly with vibrant duffel bags.

Presented in New York's Lincoln Center, the runway show was attended by the brand's supporters of international media outlets, reporters, photographers and celebrities. Attendees included Dascha Polanco, Miss "J" Alexander, Nigel Barker, Henry Santos and James Goldstein.
