BS AUDITIVES: SOMEWHERE ELSE & SO LONG BY NICK MILLER
I had to make a stop in Chicago to get a slice of that deep dish pizza. Mmmm it feels so good to be back in the mid-west for a while. The man thats singing below is Nick Miller, lead singer of Nick Miller and The Neighbors. He goes to Columbia College, his hair is boyishly orange and we both went to high school together in Wisconsin. Him and his band have been all over Chicago. This time around he choose to bring the music to the Navy Pier. I paired him up with clothing brand, the Culture of Freedom. All of the graphic designs done by C.O.F. were inspired by the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. They are supporters of futurists... especially those located in Chicago. Put two and two together. This project was made to happen. Enjoy!
And the summer is closing so a finale should be in order. You can be a supermodel and I'll be your camera man. Let's role play; Asha and I are on our trillion dollar roof top in Soho and we don't care about anything but your wisdom. It is expected to graduate from high school, be on time, no your abc's, have good manners and look like somebody. All we ever want is the cherry on top with whipped cream...
I wish I could give you a manual; the exact way to make a night turn into your oyster. Every classy lady loves a string of pearls, so give them to her. Flip through your photos from last night... is that Tina and Ike? Somehow, everything just seems to fall in line when you're down for the night...
Picture the scene; eight striving actors, two smoking hot brothers, one yummy mummy and a pretty lady called Tits (actually her name’s Laeticia but she’s got pretty toes). Coffee and soft drinks (sodas for my USA peeps) were flowing, the smell of Clay Ovenwafted through the air and a police man, egged on by the cheers of drunk onlookers, pushed a broken down van on Long Street (what?). It’s freezing cold outside but, the ladies are in their sexiest and shortest threads; coats are for sissies. Cape Town ain’t ready for us we’re going to party like the artist formerly known as Prince till the clock strikes twelve and the world ends. That was before the itis. . .
The Mother City. Home to me for four years. It’s not where I’m from but it’s home you dig? Like my mother she is gorgeous, vibrant, and full of contradictions but if you dig deep enough you’re sure to find some hidden delicacies in her cupboard. She’s thrifty like that. Easy on the eye but always has a surprise up her sleeve. No surprises today though. Mother knows what’s best and she knows my favourite things. I like, long streets, pretty earrings, colorful beads and coffee beans. Those are a few of my favourite things.
BS AUDITIVES: STAY OR LEAVE & SPARROWS BY GRACE WEBER
Here's a funny story. Good Cop PR, NYC based music PR firm, reached out to BLIND SPECS to create some extra buzz for a REAL American Idol, Grace Weber. So, where's the funny, Clarence? Grace literally grew up down the street from me in Wisconsin (Found out the day of the video shoot). Look at the cheese kids from suburbia... making a name for themselves in the city. I love it! Susan Hengst is the designer I paired Grace with. The dress that Grace is wearing fits her personality and the energy from both of the songs she performed exclusively for you as well; easy, heart felt, beautiful and sharp.
There's this thing called respect. I could do nothing but live by the word. It always looks like people enjoy life on this site. Pretty things and diamond rings; it's not always about the glitz. Homie, I'm from Wisconsin but, all of my friends look like they grew up on the east coast. Let me invite you to the balcony to view the skyline in Soho. A Wisconsin reunion and you thought we'd only be about cheddah cheese...
I can't even be a fly on the wall. I'm having too much fun buzzing through the crowd. The mission is always a priority, especially during the hype times; having a place to chill by 2am, a talented amateur to view before 10 pm, a sunrise to watch by 6 am and no one is ever on time yet, we always have time to create a statement through our threads. Ok, I went over board, times aren't as weird as our parents think but, this Soho crowd is something alien & insane...

Google alumni and newly recognized recording artist, Hoodie Allen, released a new single and music video today from his new mixtape Leap Year being dropped on July 26th. "The Chase Is On" directed by Jordan Bahat and produced by Sloane Hayes Skala. The video features Sofia Black - D'Elia, this lady amazes me... we're both the same age! She's mostly known for her role as Tea Marvelli in Skins...

My mother can confirm for you. First I'd beg her to drive me to Chicago from Wisconsin, then we'd finally arrive into the loop after being told by her over and over again during the 2 hour ride the only reason I'm driving you to Chicago is because I love you and you know that you have no choice but to make it all up to me in the future. Jonathan, (she pauses for a brief moment) the future better be soon. That's the moment we'd jump out of the car, I'd straighten my windsor knot and we'd walk up to the bouncer/ owner and she'd would proudly say I'm his manager. #ha One year later I'm in the big apple, grindin' on my own. Does it look like I'm wasting time? This city is my fuel and I am a ferrari. Momma raised me to take premium gas only, that's exactly what this city gives me. So, now I'm giving you a piece of this life pie. You are invited to BLIND SPECS first event, The Art of Love & Tasting...
