BS MELACERBA
SIMONA VENUS & MARCO RICH (ITALY)

The team formed by
RicH CaT Events, photographer
Gaetano Giordano, and his assistant Filippo Storelli, have returned to create a SS 2013 campaign for another well-known local brand,
Melacerba. This time the team has been powered by the experience of makeup artist,
Luna Taddonio and with the innovative ideas and art direction of
Delia Ciriello (Gambalunga). Fresh and colorful clothes, filled with flowers, and summer vibes inspired the staff. Also, the team took advantage of the vast green fields of a farm, in
Apulian Territory, for the photo shoot. It 's been a long day and the team has worked to produce excellent results. We are sure you will enjoy the final photos on BLIND SPECS soon! You can view some of the photos on the Melacerba website!

ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE
CLARENCE DE VIL (NYC)
In any fashionable person's world there are many unwritten fashion don'ts. The common don'ts, in America, are don't wear white after
Labor Day, don't look like you're in a war with the weather - freezing your butt off from wearing shorts in 20 degrees, and don't shop on impulse unless you absolutely need to add something to your outfit, you know, to make it work.
During the evening of April 16th, I learned about
Pikolinos, a natural leather company that creates shoes and bags with unique hand craftsmanship, and their collaboration with the
Maasai Tribe of Kenya. It's called the
Maasai Project. Between the speech that was given by Maasai Project Ambassador -
Olivia Palermo, Maasai Leader -
William Kikanae, founder of Pikolinos -
Juan Peran translated by Pikolinos' Global Ambassador -
Bisila Bokoko, and celebrity activist -
Africa Engo, I was inspired by a brand that has begun a movement, Pikolinos Maasai. "
The Pikolinos Maasai Project is a line of shoes and bags designed in Kenya by over 1600 women from the Maasai tribe, one of the most threatened on the planet according to the UN," stated by Maasai team. This project was made to guarantee the sustainability of the Maasai tribe.

Living in New York City is nothing like living in America. Coming from Wisconsin, I have experienced this myself. A majority of people in NYC have a tendency to do what everyone else tells them to do because, we live in such a fast paced environment. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Where there are fast people there are plenty of guides. Sometimes those guides aren't always the best. So, let me be the one to guide you in the right direction of what to buy and why. Through the opening reception for the
Pikolinos Maasai Pop-Up Store in the
Meat Packing District, America, specifically New York City, has an example of what shopping for a purpose really is rather than just shopping because we can.
Fashion fills a void. It's nonverbal, it's emotional. You can only hope that you're looking at fashion as a lesson to learn from every time it steps into your universe.

ATTIRE FOR A ROCK CONCERT
SIMONA VENUS & MARCO RICH (ITALY)

It will happen to each of you. That moment when the classic question is posed,
"What shall I wear?"
We thought we'd connect with our readers through a moodboard theme for BLIND SPECS, with details that we like and hope will become useful to everyone going through a panic attack outside of their closet.
Last night, we went to a rock concert in a pub. What a good time to photograph our looks of choice...

PHOTO: Tim and I getting involved
The folly of my youth, it seems, was the unwavering belief that I had to do it all, then. Experiment, explore, go out into the world and seek the beauty of life before I get too old to do it. As time has passed and the adventures become less treacherous and bold, I've found the thrill of the stage more alluring and even more captivating than any other adolescent dream I ever conjured.
